About
Enarei was launched in 2025 by a loose group of transgender people with backgrounds in biology, harm reduction, and academia. Like many other trans people, we're frustrated by widespread misinformation surrounding our health, and by our own our experiences of being denied access to care. We hope to dispell myths, and provide harm reduction resources for others in similar situations.
Enarei is open source to improve our resillience in the face of rising censorship. Our code, content, and article history is freely available on GitHub.
We are not doctors, and our content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. However, we feel it's important that people who may not have access to formal care can still find reliable information about their health. Because of our focus on DIY HRT, our articles sometimes omit information that would have been critical for a cisgender person, but isn't relevant to a transgender body.
Authors
Enarei is made possible by many more contributors than we could hope to credit. That said, the current main authors of Enarei are Ari and Mitzi.
Mitzi
Mitzi ("she/they") is a non-binary transfeminine person who lives in London, United Kingdom. She is prolifically active in DIY HRT communities, where she acts as an educator and advocates a harm reduction approach to self-medication. Mitzi frequently navigates situations that involve transgender homelessness, domestic violence, healthcare discrimination, and substance use both online and locally, and has worked with a variety of organizations, including Transfeminine Science, Bluelight, Gender Construction Kit, and The Lovetank.
Mitzi has a broad interest in medical academia, with a particular passion for endocrinology and psychopharmacology. She is an outspoken critic of her country's transgender healthcare system, and has self-medicated for the duration of her own transition.

- Are medical doctors, and willing to provide anonymous proofreading, editing, and screening of articles.
If any of these describe you, please get in touch below.
